Gingerbread Houses for the Christmas Holiday

We have had a busy time recently at Care Corner painting, playing fun games and sports with the children and at Christmas time making the Gingerbread Houses you see above! Thank you June Unland for kindly donating them and for making such delicious gingerbread! They came as sets which the children had to ice and put together. Once the above photo was taken they broke them in pieces and everyone got some to eat!

Saturday, January 9th, 2010 at Care Corner Orphanage, San Pa Tong, Thailand

This Saturday 9th January we are planning on some fun and games to celebrate Children’s Day with them. It’s a very special day here in Thailand when all parents take time off work and take their children out for special events which are held at many places. The children at CCOF don’t have that opportunity so we will play games, hold English language related activities, give away prizes and gifts and have a special lunch for them.

Activities for Children’s Day 2010

This year we are giving away toys, snacks and some new laundry baskets, coat hangers and other practical items to them. The children also need new towels, school socks and toiletry items so if you would like to join us and wish to bring something along that would be very kind.
