Sizes of Things in Natural Building

Last Updated on

There are various standards and human-habitable sizes of things that conform to the human body and/or basic building principles. Here are a few:

  • Steps: ~15cm high, 1m+ wide, 30cm+ long (run).
  • For 3m high posts (e.g., for a roof), the sink below ground needs to be 1.5m, or something like that, to support trusses and the like.
  • Ceilings can be 3m high, but need not bee for all rooms, e.g, peripheral rooms can be 2.5m and the main central room 3m, with vaulted ceilings.
